I see here awesome gradation of the darkness. firstly, I see black colour, than it is brighter and brighter , this carpet is getting red gradually... In the end there are windows with awesome light of the day. I would say that on this picture the fight of the lightness and darkness, angel and devil is shown. At least, it is my interpretation...
